Aging as back as from the 6th Century, Miniature art was practiced in different parts of India in different timelines under different reigns, but it was under Mughals when the Miniature art flourished the most. Once used to be made on palm leaves, now these paintings are made over paper, wood, marble and others, even the paper used is polished with stone to get smooth and non-porous surface. Organic and natural minerals and even gold dust is used to get the astonishing colors
