Pichwai Art
With its origination around 400 years ago in Nathadwara, Rajasthan, Pichwai paintings were mainly made to decorate the temple of Shrinathjian, an incarnation of Lord Krishna, who is still the main subject in the art form. Hand painted on cloth or piece of paper, Pichwai Paintings are true work of detailing, perfection and patience as it takes couple of weeks to be fully made.
