The art of metal craftmanship, influenced by the Persian Art, originated from the Bidar, Karnataka, in 14th centuary, during the rule of Bahmani Sultans. Bidriware goes eight stages of processing to make shiny black metal utensils, hammered and engraved with fine silver linings.
